Chamber's Free Workshops Help Members
Montcross Area Chamber members learned how to "Keep Sales Up, When The Economy is Down" in the first of a series of free seminars designed to help members manage their businesses during a market slump. Noted author and sales trainer Tim Dannelly (center) presented the program at Belmont Abbey College. The Small Business Center of Gaston College provided the speaker. Financial strategies for businesses will be the focus for the second in a series of workshops planned by the Montcross Area Chamber to help members cope with difficult market conditions. Summer Job Fair
More than 400 prospective employees attended the Job Fair on August 6, sponsored by the Chamber, Gaston JobLink Career Centers and Gaston College East Campus. About 30 empolyers were on hand to talk with potential employees.

What's New
In Eastern Gaston?

Visitors entering Gaston County from Charlotte on Wilkinson Boulevard no longer have to guess when they've arrived in Belmont. The city, contracting with Chamber member Sign Connection, recently erected brick entrance signs on each side of the highway at the Catawba River Bridge.
